Dr. Y S Rajashekar Reddy’s Dies of Helicopter Crash
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy and four others died of a helicopter crash on the top of a mountain between Rollapenta and Rudra Koduru in Kurnool region of Andhra Pradesh. The Bell 430 chopper, which had gone missing since 9.35 AM yesterday, was traced on the hill top of Nallamalla forest, which is located at 40 nautical miles east of Kurnool. 14 Special Force Commandos landed at the crash site to retrieve the dead bodies.
Chief Minister YSR was travelling along with his Principal Secretary S Subrahmanyam and his Chief Security Officer ASC Wesley. Both were confirmed dead. Two pilots Group Captain S.K. Bhatia and Capt. M. S. Reddy were also found dead. The dead bodies were in burnt state.
The entire Andhra Pradesh and several other parts of the country plunged into grief and gloom, as YSR's death was confirmed. The Congress Party is in a complete shock over this unprecedented situation.
People in Andhra Pradesh were seen beating their chest and crying bitterly to mourn the death of their beloved leader. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who just completed 110 days in office during his second term as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, was very popular and was a leader of the masses. Andhra Pradesh lost a great leader due to his untimely death.
