Hyderabad, July 26: The government, on Monday, released the counselling schedule for admissions into professional courses in the state for the academic year 2010-11. Though the results of the common entrance tests were declared in June, the government had failed to initiate the admission process due to various reasons including lack of clarity on the fee structure and seat sharing between the government and the college managements. The web-based counselling for admissions into B.Ed courses will be held between August 2 and 13, and the notification will be issued on July 27. The online-counselling for three-year law courses will begin on August 8 and for the five-year law courses on August 11.
Meanwhile, the admissions and fee regulatory committee (AFRC) has decided to permit Muslim minority B.Ed colleges to conduct their own counselling (single window-II).
However, the AFRC is still undecided on allowing Muslim and Christian minority engineering, pharmacy, MBA and MCA colleges to conduct their own counselling. It had set a deadline of July 26 for these colleges to form a single consortium for the purpose.
